MSC Cruises corporate charters and group programs

One of the youngest fleets at sea, European design and dining, and a private marine reserve where the ship stays into the evening.

The short version

New ships, European instincts

MSC is a privately held, family-owned company that has invested heavily in new ships over the past decade, and the fleet is among the youngest and most modern at sea.

The European sensibility runs right through it — the design, the coffee, the food, the way the bars work in the evening. For a program with international attendees, or one that wants a week that feels a little less American and a little more continental, MSC gives you something the other big lines do not.

It also operates a private marine reserve island in the Bahamas that is one of the most beautiful private destinations in the Caribbean. See the at-sea overview for the rest of the brands we represent.

Onboard

What your attendees will be talking about

A modern fleet, and it shows

MSC has taken delivery of new ships at a remarkable pace, so your program is very likely to sail on something recent — bright, contemporary interiors, dramatic multi-deck atriums finished in glass and Swarovski crystal, and public spaces that photograph beautifully. Attendees notice a new ship immediately.

Food and coffee with a European accent

Italian dining is taken seriously here, as you would expect, alongside steak, sushi, teppanyaki, Mediterranean seafood and a proper espresso bar culture across the fleet. It is a noticeably different palate from the American lines, and for many groups that difference is exactly the appeal.

A private enclave at the top of the ship

The MSC Yacht Club is a keycard-access ship-within-a-ship with its own restaurant, lounge, pool deck and butler service. It is a clean, genuinely luxurious way to recognise your top qualifiers or host your executive team while keeping everyone on the same sailing.

Entertainment with a European theatrical feel

MSC leans towards Cirque-style physical performance, live music and theatre rather than Broadway musicals, and the newest ships carry dedicated venues built for it. It gives an award evening a different and rather more sophisticated character.

Ocean Cay, a private marine reserve

MSC’s private island in the Bahamas is a restored marine reserve with eight beaches, a lighthouse and long stretches of quiet sand. Ships often stay late into the evening, which makes a beach party under the lighthouse one of the easiest showpiece evenings you can put on a program.

Where they sail

The Mediterranean, the Caribbean and a global fleet

MSC sails the Caribbean and the Bahamas year round from Miami, Port Canaveral and New York, and operates one of the largest Mediterranean programs at sea from Barcelona, Rome, Genoa, Naples and Marseille. There is further year-round and seasonal deployment across Northern Europe, the Middle East, South America, South Africa and Asia.

For a program with attendees flying from Europe as well as North America, that footprint often solves the travel problem outright. Tell us where your people are and we will tell you what is available.

Working together

How we make MSC work for your program

Buy the Sea has been placing corporate groups and full ship charters with MSC for many years, and we work directly with their group and charter teams. We know the fleet, we know the people, and we know what to ask for and when to ask for it so that your program gets the ship, the spaces and the dates it needs. That is the part we handle.

Bring us a headcount, a budget and a range of dates. We will come back with real options across the MSC fleet — and across every other line, because we represent all of them and we are paid by the cruise line, never by you. There is no fee, no markup and no obligation. Here is why that matters.

Questions planners ask

MSC, answered

Is MSC a good fit for a program with European attendees?

It is one of the strongest options available. The fleet sails from more European homeports than most, the onboard style is genuinely continental, and the crew and guest mix are international. We will map it against your attendee base.

How far ahead should we book?

For a group block, nine to fifteen months gives you the best choice of ships and dates. For a full charter, plan on eighteen to twenty-four months. Tighter timelines are often workable — ask us.

What does Buy the Sea charge?

Nothing. We are compensated by the cruise line, never by you. More in the FAQ.
