What's Really Cooking Aboard The Regent Seven Seas Explorer?

We were privileged to participate in a 90 minute cooking class onboard the ship. The culinary center is run by chef Kathryn Kelly a creative food mastermind who runs a seriously tight, but fun kitchen.

This state-of-the-art hands-on facility is complete with 18 fully equipped cooking stations. We each prepared four items:  deconstructed scallop rumaki, drunken fish, limoncello cake and salad with hand-whisked vinaigrette. Everything was delicious!  I have to say that it was nice having all of the ingredients prepared for us in advance as well as a crew member to clean up at the end!

Classes on the ship start at $89 and increase depending on duration and ingredients. Some classes are part of an off-ship excursion that allows passengers to learn about local cuisine, purchasing and preparation.

This event was one of the highlights of our cruise!
