What's New In Los Cabos? Everything!

What was not completely rebuilt after September 2014, is either brand new or under construction.  The airport is big, beautiful and spotless!  Air access is better than most Caribbean islands with flights arriving via all major carriers AND Southwest!  No matter where you go the service, friendliness and attitude of the staff is very much up to par and incentive caliber.

I just returned from a site visit of several Los Cabos incentive “staples” – Secrets Puerto Los Cabos, Ziva Los Cabos, Dreams Los Cabos and the Hilton – and was the first client to do a hard hat tour of the new 300-oceanview suite Grand Velas Los Cabos.  This five diamond resort is going to open in November and will be truly magnificent – one to surely rival the One and Only Palmilla and Esperanza – but in all-inclusive fashion!  Here's a link to an artist’s rendering for your review.  Also coming to Los Cabos will be a 300-room Le Blanc and a new “intimate” Hard Rock hotel.

Los Cabos has cache!  Although it sits on the most southern tip of the Mexican Baja peninsula – this trendy, upscale destination has the feel of many other destinations.  Imagine a much more affordable Palm Springs or Hawaii….a little bit Arizona (but with a spectacular ocean and vast beaches) with some California coast mixed in.  Much drier and temperate than Cancun with daytime temps ranging from the 70’s to the 90’s, and enjoyably cooler nights.  Surprisingly, each hotel I visited had fire pits that were blazing in the evening to keep guests comfortable IN THE SUMMER!   Cabo is not a destination to be overlooked – and for those who seem to have an “allergy” to Mexico for whatever reason – I can tell you that I felt like I was in a safe haven -  far away from the world’s political, religious and violence issues.

The quaint village of San Jose del Cabo is the perfect spot for souvenir shopping, art gallery browsing and eclectic dining.  Cabo San Lucas boasts a full service marina, swimmable beaches, an exciting nightlife and a plethora of shops and restaurants sure to please any palate.  Most hotels are located in the “corridor” between these polar opposite towns.  The entire stretch of this corridor is 30 minutes by car.  The airport is no more than 30 minutes from any resort along the way.   It is one of the most simple destinations to navigate and one of the most scenic.  With so many fabulous activities and excursions – whale watching, golf, diving, boating, zip lining, ATVs, shopping, tequila tasting and culinary tours and so much more – Cabo has it all.  It is a place to unwind, explore, relax and enjoy!  There is a property for every budget and every taste!
